I left the door open of their brooder so they can exercise....Gidget I guess wanted to join them. She loves her cheeps.

Over the past week I have gotten my 1st ever chickies! I'm up to 10 (+4 I'm going to keep in my brooder for a friend until they are feathered out). They are all just so cute - I just love it! Most of mine are camera shy, but not my 2 EEs. They are just 2 days old but their adorable little chunky fluffy cheeks are to die for (picture doesn't do their cheeks justice).


My DS1 is a huge Harry Potter fan. So, when considering the fluffiness of their cheeks & his love of all things HP, I decided to name these girls Huffle & Puffle. DS1 approves greatly! =D

A bantam from TSC.... Not sure what kind.

Hard to say for sure without holding it in my hands, but it looks like an Old English Game Bantam. I have one grown hen from this breed and she's just fantastic.

I will also need help when they do hatch. The daddy was an EE but i have NOOOOOO idea who the mom was! We have 5 other breeds they could be! NHR, BR, BO, LORP, SLW, and JG!

They'll come our sex link if he mated with the barred rock. Mine did anyways. Maybe you'll end up getting an assortment from each of your hens he has mated with.

Coincidentally, I have an Easter Egger rooster named Gryffindor, and I'm thinking about naming the EE roo my husband brought home last week "Hufflepuff"
