About a week old. Easter Egger. Eight of these and 7 weeks later, I think their all cockerels. Sigh...
I'll let you know when one lays an egg or crows. I'm hoping it won't come down to that.
They were straight-run. I'm sure someone experienced got the pick of the lot. Oh well. :-(

sorry to hear that 10 whiskers, I def would not order straight run, they will even slip roos at you if you order hens. I hatch my own I get very few roos. This spring, I only hatched out 4 and gave away 2/3 can't remember, I did have people give me 4 roosters. 2 of them came from a lady that hatched out blue andelusians, I bought 1 she tossed in 2 free ones. 1 friend gave me a buff o roo. and I was given a young



Isbar roo, it was the kinda of roo I wanted. I will wittle it down to just 2 the Isbar and a frizzle I hatched.

I would take a batch of cockrels over 40 eggs that never came to, for numerous reasons. So enjoy those new lil chicks, even thou they may be "boys" They are all adorable!!!!!

3 babies chicks hatched! Two yesterday, a silkie and ameraucana mutt, and a white polish I think may be a roo. And today, a wcb that looks like a hen.

Still a couple more on the way. 1 of them is trying to zip right now, praying that they all hatch! They all developed perfectly and at the same rate. All of the eggs in it now but possibly 1 egg were lively and moving around a lot last week.
