Tweety birdy is now 1 month old

Sorry I skipped a week, they aren't changing as fast. They're almost fully feathered and getting a bit big for the bin, but I'm not done with the new coop yet, so I might have to put them into the dog cages with the rest of the flock temporarily. The coop is designed so i can partition off specific brooding areas, so this should be the last time I (or they) will have to deal with sleeping in a tub!

Here she is today. Is she getting whiter?

She is definitely turning out to be the friendliest / least flighty of the bunch. Most flighty is one of the twins, although she is calm enough once 'caught'. I guess that's how I will be telling them apart.

She is starting to get some white, but it still looks as if she is going to be very much on the dark side.

This is one of 2 chicks that hatched 8 days ago. This pic taken at 1 day. They are a Speckled Sussex/Gold Brabanter cross. They both have the Brabanter nostrils and cheek puffs. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

"Can I come out and play now?"

My August babies are outside now, Big enough to be outdoors, but still small enough to squeeze through the gaps in the chain-link fencing, I have them in the large dog cage.
