Hi - my lonely little chick is doing really well, eating and drinking (any treats at this age??) getting cheeky and jumping all over its toy but seems to have runny poop which gets caught in its feathers, is this normal when theres not a mum about?? i clean it with warm paper towel (was a bit rough and some fluff came off but its ok!

I say just keep doing what you are dong and it should be fine. Treats can wait till it's a bit bigger, maybe a month old or so. When you do give treats, remember to provide some grit. As for the runny poo, a bit of runny poo for the first day till solid poo comes out is normal. After that, only a few blobs a day should be goey like. If poo is sticking to the chick, make sure it is warm enough, since chilling can cause them to have runnypoo or to paste up.
