Baby Chick Transport

We plan to pick up chicks from our local pet and feed store in february. This might be a silly question.... But what do I need to bring to transport them home? Shoe box? Pet carrier? We live only 10 minutes from the store so they should be fine (warmth wise) for the ride, right?

Check with the supplier. Most provide a proper sized box for transport home.

Yes, make sure it's a proper box. I got some chicks from a store and they gave me a cardboard box to carry them in. The wood chips in the box were leaking out the whole way home. :/

Most provide boxes at the store. They're usually a pretty cheap box but they work.

Most places you can walk in empty handed. Feed stores will usually provide boxes for chicks. Just make sure everything is ready for them at home before you go to pick them up.
