Hi there, I recently bought baby chicks from a breeder who I knew. I discovered that one of the chicks wings are hanging low the rest seem fine and active but one doesn't. It's one of elder chicks and I've noticed chirps from it vent! It's feather tails move up and down when it's breathing or sleeping. Is this normal? Please help :(

No, its not normal :( That would be a sick chick... I usually cull at that point, but I would first separate the chick from the others and check for pasty bottom and give a warm bottom cleaning bath if it seems to be blocked.. If not, some antibiotics in the water would bey next step.

It's most likely not going to make it :( I don't like to put a damper on it, I've saved a lot of sick chicks, but also lost a few too, so its best to be prepared for it...

Fresh water with antibiotics daily, food, clean bedding, warmth. That's about all that can be done for a chick. Most likely the chick just doesn't have the vigor and resistance that it's broodmates have, and those are the ones that just aren't strong enough to survive.
