Baby Chick!

Hello everyone! I wanted to announce my hen finally hatched a baby! We removed it from the coop bc a roo was after it. Baby has a small peck mark on the side of its head, should I treat the wound?

Can you put mamma and baby in a kennel inside the run (so the others are still around it and learn to accept it?)

So our poor nugget passed away. heart breaking is no way to describe it. My 16 year old daughter was absolutely devastated. God however answered my prayers today. We have a two week old Americana and three month old Champion bred line bantams!! So happy we have babies. Eases our first loss a little. I have started marking eggs in the coop. What am I looking for in the light? We usually just eat them, but not many people around have chicks available so I figured we could try to hatch a few more. Suggestions?And no I couldn't put Nugget in with the mom, he was quite injured from pecks when I saved him, and he was better, I still have no idea what happened. Vet says by the time those that are only a few days old are suck it's too late.
