Baby chick

I have six hen two roosters. They came as a package deal. I have one hen who sits on eggs. She managed to hatch one out. I found it this morning. How long do they hide them before we see them? She is in a chicken pen. It is still tiny fluffy yellow. Cathy

They can hide them anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. It just depends on the hen I guess. Some of mine abandoned their babies kind of early so I had to take over, and another hen took care of hers until the baby was as big as she was.
