I have 5 chickens there almost two weeks can I shut heat lamp off in the day time am boording them in a spare walk in closet

What's the temp in the closet during the day?
Brooding temp is recommended to start off at 95F lessening 5F every week until 80F. No heat need once fully feathered. You can try, if they don't complain, they should be fine as they're in the house.

I use a 65 wtt light bulb move it to the side when it gets to hot, it’s about 104 outside so the closet with no light it about 85-90 with light 95 100
