Hi, today I say some chicken eggs on top of my old car. There were about 5,I had a feeling that the eggs had an embryo in it, but wasn't sure. So, I shook them and still couldn’t tell if they had an embryo in them. So I gave one to my dog and thry did have embryos in them. I feal so bad for what I did😭. I put the other 4 back where I found them, but I am scared that the babies are going to come out with some sort of disability, since I shook them. Is it possible they will come out with some sort of disability and also how can I check if an egg has an embryo or not.

A lady I knew was hoping to hatch eggs with a hen. The eggs got dark and quiet- she thought they were dead and was going to grind them up for her compost- she figured it out too late, and was very sad about it. I wish she had asked me my opinion, before doing that.

Don't feel bad.
Why would you shake it?
You can take them into some place dark and look into them with a flashlight.
Unless there's a hen actively sitting on them, they won't make it.
Thank you for the advice. I shook then cause when i grabbed all the eggs they felt hollow, so I shook them.
