Hello,

The baby chicks that I ordered in April are finally being shipped out next week. I do have a question though, since I'm new to all of this LOL. Are you able to know the sex of the day-old baby chick?? I ordered 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Easter Eggers all females. I ordered through Purely Poultry Limited. This is my first time ordering through the mail as all the places around me were always out.

Also, I was looking into getting a Rhode Island Red pullet maybe 2. Would they get along with the baby chicks (once they are old enough to go into the coop)?

Thank you for your time; have a blessed day.

Congratulations on your chicks!! 🙂
If you have a sexlink or auto-sexing breed, you can tell which is male and which is female just by sight.
I’ve never had BOs nor EEs, but someone here should be able to answer your question.
Wishing your chickies good health and safe travels!

Thank you. I'm sooo looking forward to their arrival 😁

Hello,

Here are the chicks. I ordered 6, they sent a couple just in case. All 6 arrived healthy and chirping LOL.. I know have a total of 8; 4 of each. I can't wait to see the colors. Does anyone think that the light grey one is a lavender?

I ordered 10 of the same breed 5 years ago but after they arrived I discovered 1/2 were the wrong breed (I sold 4 of them) On the bright side all of them arrived alive and on time and I still have 3 of them. They laid like crazy the 1st year and still lay

Oh that's too bad. I received an invoice that shows that they were vaccinated and the breed. So im hoping its correct as I really wanted friendly chickens. It great to know that incan get alot of eggs. I bake alot and have a bug family 😀
