baby chicks feet

I have hatched 2 baby chicks and their feet are turned and curled, is this normal? They hatched 2 days ago on Monday - 5/11/09

They have crooked toes, easily fixed. Make little W-shaped boots for them out of a bandaid or Moleskin (works best). Straighten the toes on one side of the bandage, and sandwich them together. You'll see improvement in 2-7 days, depending on how crooked they are. Good luck! Also, it's caused by low temp during hatch.

We have a little chick with two crooked toes. Instead of concocting corrective footwear, though, we decided instead to just name it Toby.

Toby's doing fine, btw, crooked toes and all..
