That's better, Have you layed a thermometer on the floor and check the temp---just to see what it is?

Sorry to the Original Poster here that your post kinda got bad side tracked------I just felt like your chicks were to hot so as a TIP I was suggesting a smaller wattage bulb set-up. Check your heat with a thermometer to be safe--TIP #2!!.

I am out of "likes" for a while so I am posting to say that is good----they have been eating haven't they? I might have missed that part. I have mentioned/questioned 2/3 times about checking the temp on the floor in the hottest part of the light---just to see what it is----did not know if you missed that or not or I missed your reply??.

85 to 90 in the hottest part would be good. Then you can keep lowering it ever few days a few degree's. If its real warm during the day you might be able to cut it off some and back on at night.
