Hello! I got a fresh shipment of chicks and some of them got pasty butt my daughter and I went through all of the babies and cleaned them of but some have a little bare bums. My question is will the bum feathers grow or will they be out of luck and never be a show girl?

@so lucky is right. Don't worry about the missing down. It won't grow back, but soon real feathers will grow in there. By age six weeks, the chick should have coverage again.

But the fact that you scrubbed hard enough to rub the down off the tiny butt indicates you may be a little too rough. Chicks' little vents are especially fragile, and rubbing can cause pain and swelling. That can open up more problems to deal with.

If you need to remove dried on poop crust, soften with a Q-tip or cotton ball and a bit of warm water. Let set half a minute, then carefully wipe off with a clean cotton ball dipped in warm water. Then blow dry the wet butt on the lowest heat setting, or place the chick under its heat source in the brooder to dry.
