Baby chicks have arrived! RIR, barred rock, and black Australorp and there are 2 extras!!

I moved the chicks to my small coop and run last night and they had their first night without a lamp. I did put a back bean bag heater thing in around 230 am from the microwave to be sure they were warm and stayed alseep and had food and water. Today I opened it up and we have some explorers!

They are three weeks tues/weds and are mostly feathered besides their heads. Also it didn’t go below 75 last night and they are all 15 in lie a 2.5 x 2 coop with a full length nesting box with a curtain between I checked ast night several times until 330 am everything was fine! It was warmer in there than the bin brooder even with a heat lamp.

Okay so I for sure have two black australorp cockerels. Possibly another his comb is mostly black but some pink is possibly coming through already at three weeks. Not sure about the others I have a barred roc with a little more defined of a stripe on the wing but no pink yet.

Also pretty sure I have at least one more but he’s always hiding when I am looking for him. These two were actually doing the rooster dance for dominance my first two cockerels I didn’t know were did when they were young.

Time to clean the littles grow pen but first let me grab some update photos! Seems like I was right on with my original guesses for sex I have 4 barred rock pullets, 5 rir pullets, 3 BA pullets, two cockerels that were marked as cockerels as extras and one BA that is a BIG bird so big I was thinking he might be a different breed. What's interesting about him is he's much larger than the other two cockerels and also one side of his waddle are twice as long than the other making him look half and half. Here are some group photos they are getting so big now!
