Baby chicks in Southern California?

I've just remembered where you can get chicks. If you can swing a trip to Yucaipa there's a lady that hatches 40 every week through the spring. They are all mixed breeds but they are all layers and heritage layers, at that. She sells them for $2 per straight run chick and there is an amazing variety to choose from. If you're interested pm me and I'll give you her number. I got 9 which are 5 weeks old today and all doing well.

I've been browsing, too, and haven't seen any.

I have seen them. If you use the search feature on the IE craigslist there are a few that come up. I searched "eggs" and "chickens" and "chicks". There is a Yuciapa listing I know for sure.

She lives in palmdale however....too far for you probably.
