We are considering removing the Barred Rocks and one of the Amber hybrids who causes trouble. They are nice birds to us, but aggressive to the younger birds in the flock. The rooster keeps them in line most days. I separated the chicks with chicken wire, they now have half the coop, which is warm all the time, and their own food and water. They have plenty of room to grow and can socialize with the other birds without getting harmed.
I'm still pursuing farms who can take them. If we can't get rid of them we will use them for food. We are a homestead and nothing goes to waste.
