My fuzzy Swedish Flower hens are 5 and 6 days old and I hung a mirror up for them today. They seem to like it! :) As soon as the 4x2 brooder is built, I will add a clump or real dirt/weeds for them to eat and play in. Also will be adding a perch in case they want to practice!

Nice looking setup! I'm curious about the nipple waterer. Did it take them long to find it and start drinking? I've never used one before.

The first 4 days I had a regular chick waterer in there as well as the brooder bottle cap from the chicken fountain (2 caps for $6.) So they see both waterers, then when I felt most of them had caught on I took out the regular waterer and added a second bottle cap in its place. They all seem to take to it and I LOVE IT!!! No smelly, messy, dirty water. And since I am not changing it every hour I can give them fresh filtered water!! It is wonderful and totally worth it!! Oh I put the brink underneath to absorb some of the water that falls.

I was looking at using the chicken nipples myself and found them on Amazon the other day really cheap.

You get what you pay for. The chicken fountain guys are AWESOME. He also sells the big chicken fountain for full grown hens and I have that one as well. VERY good products and he has excellent customer service. It is not like $6 for 2 including shipping is much at all. As I said get what you pay for, those cheap o ones you linked will probably leak all over the place.

How many would I need for say 10-11 chickens? You are right about those nipples, after going through the reviews I noticed that the newest ones say they're garbage :(
