Baby chicks question

I have had the chicks around two weeks. First the wasps, the WD-40 seems to have worked. I used is sparingly. I put the chicks in their chicken house so they would have room to run. I live in Central Texas and the weather is mild. The chicks are getting their wing and tail feathers. Does this make them itchy? They seem to groom a lot at times.

Hi! The grooming behavior is normal, they will do this even as grown hens.

Yep, new feathers coming in are itchy

Do they have access to any dirt? If you are confining them to the coop for growing out, place a dish pan of dirt from your run inside the coop so they can take a dust bath.
