How old are they now?
 
You don't need to give them oyster shell until they start laying. Oyster shell gives them calcium that they use to make the egg shell. You could put it out there in a separate dish but they wouldn't eat it as they don't need the extra calcium yet. And please don't feed them layer feed until they have started laying. Otherwise that extra calcium will hurt the kidneys.

As for chicken scratch, I have no idea.

Thank you for the info my husband started them on layer feed. Ill have to go grab the starter should I do medicated or not
