Baby chicks

I'm a first time incubator and all my eggs hatched I'm wondering when I can take their light away? I'm in Townsville where it is really hot it's like 35-37• everyday and even hotter inside. I have them inside and I'm worried they might be hot as they all seem to crowd up at the dark end of the brooder. They are a week old today and seem to be doing well I'm just a bit concerned and thinking of turning the light off through the day and then putting it back on of a night

The temp directly under the heat lamp should be 90-94 degrees Fahrenheit right now. Lower it 5 degrees every week until it is about the same temp as the average outside temp. Make sense?
