I just hatched out 12 baby chicks , I went to check on them and find a baby chick dead and found bubbly poop. They were quiet yesterday but now they won’t stop peeping. I have a thermometer in there and I know it’s not that they are cold.
They are eating non medicated food.

a chick dying occasionally isnt abnormal .. constant peeping in day or two old chicks means they are uncomfortable, usually temp ... also, in the first couple of days i usually use a couple of jar lids that are low for food and water and keep it near the heat source ..

Temperature is supposed to be 100 degrees. They could also have pasty butt. A lot of chicks get that. It happens when chickens poop gets stuck in their butt. Make sure all chicks have good living conditions. You might want to look into how to care and prevent pasty butt.

Lower the temperature to about 90 in the warm area, 80 in the cooler area. that's too hot
I did lower it , too 90 they seemed to stopped the chirping and I was just following the chart that said 95 for the first week since they are 2 days old. Is that Incorrect?

Yes, generally.
Chicks can handle lower temperatures much better than people think.
Too hot will cause pasty butt and stress.
Watch them, if they're lethargic, panting, in the corners, they're too hot.
If they're in a clump, peeping, they're too cold. If they're milling around, being chicks, they're fine.
