[Chicken Chicks]

My new baby chicks are hatched and only survive a couple days and just die, they have food and water and i see them out with the hen and a couple days later are dead , no marks on them ? anyone heard of this ?

is the hen in with other birds? when we let a hen hatch chicks we put them in the "nursery" where they can be together but still be safe. other birds can kill them. sometimes they can get stepped on also.

The first two hatched there was another hen with her sitting on eggs also, the babies looked like they had been pecked , so i moved one hen out and more babies hatched but died a few days later, they looked healthy, i live in arizona and it has been warming up here i was just wondering if it was the heat ?
