Hi all,
Just starting out and I was wondering if anyone could answer this question: Is there any reason not to get babies that are already 21/2 weeks old as opposed to getting 2 day old chicks?? I do live in Central NY and there is still a bunch of snow on the ground, although melting quickly. I just want to make sure they are not too old- that they will still bond...
Thanks so much for any info you can give me and I expect I will be bugging you all quite a bit in the next few weeks:)
Thank.
Annie

welcome to byc and 2 and a half week old is not to old to bond we have 1 year olds that we got as 20 week olds and are very friendly and bonded to us.

They should be fine. We even rescued some grown chickens that someone dumped off on a country road and most of those tamed down really quick.
