Baby color

I agree, your brown duck looks like a khaki Campbell, but your duckling looks mallard (even the size says mallard). Are there any wild mallards around who could have snuck a egg into your coop? Or, it could be a throwback from your khaki, but I'm not sure if that happens with that breed. I've never heard of throwbacks with Pekins.

well this brown duck dosnt walk up right like a runner tho thats why i didnt think about her being a runner duck lol... BUT yeah im stumped as to how i got a black and yellow baby duckling lol.. as i said everything else but this brown duck is all white :/ lol and as far as crested the drake is the only crested as i new not to breed 2 crested together.. I am going to keep the black and yellow duckling just to see how it turns out lol..

nope no mallards around here :( .. in my location we dont have many wild ducks and nobody else in town has ducks or chickens

hmm..then i agree it's a khaki campbell..or apears to be..and that baby looks like a mallard duckling..but it's hard to tell, several baby ducks look very similar..maybe even a rouen...but send pics as it grows I'm curious too!

Had another dark colored baby duck hatched tonight! lol.. its not as dark as the one pictured.. but this one had the yellow feet and yellow beak..but the top o=half of him is greyish/black and the lower half yellow

Pics when you get a chance, and I think you better set up a game camera, looks like your ducks maybe getting a sneak visit from a Rouge drake.
