baby duck care

I would not ever personally keep a kiddie pool in their actual coop. It will be much harder to keep the bedding clean and dry. I suggest keeping any water source other than for drinking out in the run.
 
I think the most important thing you will need to take care of ducks is access to daily clean water, esp if you are in a cold environment. Baby ducks grow up quickly and they will need regular access to feed, green grass, water and sunlight. Also a critter-proof house to keep them safe at night is a must. WHen they are babies they must be kept warm with a heat lamp. I HIGHLY recommend the Storey's book on raising ducks -- that was my bible the first year. Good luck! They are such fun.
