Baby duck head bump

Yuk, no he will get very stressed out and peep bloody murder. I just was the other two off and change the bedding.
Others here have a lot more duck experience. Mine is just human first aid knowledge! If he is eating, drinking, pooping & quacking happily. let him be, IMHO. I did have a dog with this abscess problem which ruptured and was bad, which is why I posted that.

Whoever told me this was going to explode wins the prize. Yuk, ick and gross :sick :sick :he
So baby had his first bath and head squeeze this morning. I wiped some vetericyn on it with a paper towel. Too close to her eye to spray. Full of watery yellow ick. It's still draining a little. Any body have any idea what else to do? Can I put antibiotic dream that close to her eye? She keeps scratching at it, I suppose it itches. That's a good sign?

Sorry that happened. It takes experience, I was very unhappy when that happened to my dog! It might scab over again and trap that puss, so you might want to keep it wet with antibiotic cream. I have use Neosporin on chickens and dogs with good results, ducks are pretty sensitive to some things, so if the duck expert says Veterycin, that is what to use! Just let it drain and try to keep it clean. (I know that is not really possible, as clean as you can) :hmm

If you have a flexible cloth band-aid like you would put on a knuckle, you could try to cover it to keep the duck from scratching it. Or use vet wrap to make a cover. I know it might come right off, but we can try, can't we?
