Baby duck just won’t hatch

Hey BYC! I have a duckling in an egg that has pipped and all he’s doing is sticking his beak out and occasionally chirping! He has been like this for almost 48 hours and I’m wondering if I should help him out? It will be fourth eight hours once it’s 8 at night what do I do

Can you post a pic? He'll probably need help. What day is he on and what breed? Have you read the assisted hatching article?

He is on day 26 but I do think he’s ready to come!

Have you read the assisted hatching article? What I would do is just get some tweezers and make a quarter sized hole in the air cell. Stay in the air cell though, and if there's any blood stop and put it back for a few more hours. The membrane does look dry so he might be shrink wrapped. What's your humidity at?
