Baby duck with baby chicks? Does it work?

Wondering if anyone has ever added a baby duck to their new chicks in the spring?!
I don't rec it mainly because chicks can peck and pick on ducklings and injure them. Maybe same brooder with some kind of divider made out of plastic poultry fencing.

It works sometimes but othertimes the chicks will peck the ducks.. I wouldn't do it.

We have 2 ducklings and 2 chicks. All in the same brooder. The chicks think the ducks are their parents I think. They all get along great. If I take the ducks out the chicks cry and cry until u bring the ducks back. The ducks could care less about the chicks though. :)

My ducks and chicks were together until 3 weeks old, they actually got along fine but the ducklings were so messy it was affecting the chicks. In the long term I would separate them.

Right now I have my three day old 14 ducklings with my 5 two week old chicks and they seem to be doing fine. They peck eachother a little but the ducklings nibble on them back lol. I'd say as long as they are the same height and have enough room to run around or away from each other they should be fine. I put em together so they could get use to seeing different animals and to get a long. Ivan

We put six ducklings with six chicks and a mother hen (a chicken). They got along fine for the time they were together (we sold them when they were about a week old).

I've done it but you have to watch them and the ducks are very messy compared to the chicks so,you'll be,cleaning LOT more.

I currently have 6 chicks and 2 ducklings together and have had no issues. The worst I've seen the chicks do is try to take food out of the ducks mouth, which did nothing but minorly irritate them.
