Baby duckling just hatched, undeveloped??

Can you post a pic of it?
Yes, this is what it looks like now, I did put a dry rag in there for him to lay on to be comfortable but he keeps moving off of it. I really hope he’s ok. But I dnt knw what’s wrong with his butt now..

Oh, there's no yolk left. That's embryo wastes, from when he was still in the egg. He looks fine to me!
Normal wastes.

Lol well I feel crazy now lol but I was so worried. So could the umbilical cord still be attached? It’s very small and coming from the stuff from the shell to his navel?
No you're fine!
They don't really have an umbilical cord, the little string that is sometimes attached is just the embryo wastes still connected to the navel. Don't pull it off, it will come off on its own. There isn't any blood left in the shell is there?
Man your telling me! The other 2 were ok besides one hatch out of the wrong end and I had to end up helping after I waited as long as possible and they both are running around happy as can be❤
I know! Lol!
I was up all night with my first batch. I still wake up overnight to check on chicks during hatch day, but they usually do fine without intervention. That's great your's are doing so well!
