Baby Ducks??

Hey

I have 8 farm Mallard duck eggs in my bator there due to hatch early next week

when the babies hatch they don't have to be fed the first 24 hours right?

and what do you feed them?

i heard you feed them ( Unmedicated chick feed ) << is that it?

Feed them starter feed but yes non medicated. They don't need to eat right away but I would have feed and water there. Congrats and good luck!

If you use chick starter, you may want to supplement with niacin. Having said that, I haven't had a problem with chick starter + daily snacks of fresh greens (kale is a good source of niacin). It's good to get them used to eating green stuff early in life.
