Baby Flappy is a Americauna/Salmon Faverolle mix rooster. He was hatched from one of my Salmon Faverolle hens along with his 4 sisters (which 2 of them eventually disappeared) and he came from the Americauna egg. (which was fertilized by a Salmon Faverolle rooster) When he was still a chick and his 2 sisters were still alive, his mother disappeared. Now he is about 2 years old, and has the comb of an Americauna, the feathers of a Salmon Faverolle, (body) and also 4 toes on one foot and 5 on the other. Yes, he is a very interesting bird.
Something dark lurks inside of him. Other than his cowardly personality, his problem is that when he is alone with a hen, he can't resist her. That's exactly why the Salmon Faverolle hens are so scared of him. Luckily his dad woops his butt when he tries to do this, but when Baby Flappy chases a hen far away from Daddy Flappy, he usually gets away with mating with her. Even though all of the hens are too old to lay eggs except for his 2 sisters. Although he only tries his best with the Salmon Faverolle hens, because the Americauna hens will also woop his butt.
This is so devilish because because even when I'm holding a hen and Baby Flappy is nearby, the hen will freak out. The same thing when they can see eachother through the wire. I feel so bad for those hens. We are going to get rid of Baby Flappy soon, but the hens will be disposed of as well. All except for my favorite chicken, Stripes.
