So, I bought a batch of fertilized eggs for my broody hen. The eggs were a mixture, of Barred Rock eggs, Wyandottes, Marans, Sussexes, Orpingtons. All my chicks developed normally, and are five weeks old.. except for this one. I have no idea what it is, and there werent any frizzle eggs in that mixture to my knowledge. Its extremely healthy and has a big personality.Has anyone seen something like this before? It almost looks part frizzle. It had smooth feathers in the beginning, but these dark ones stick out while the yellow feathering is thin and it has naked spots on the underside of where the wing meets the body.

It's a frizzle - likely the breeder has a frizzled hen or rooster. They probably accidentally put one of those eggs in your order - it can happen sometimes :)
