If kids go too long without food they will refuse to eat. A little honey or Karo syrup on the tongue will help. You really need to have what is called a weak kid syringe on hand. It is a 60cc syringe with a catheter tip. You get a urinary catheter and fit it on the end and use it to tube feed. You ought to be able to get the syringe and the catheter from the vet. Livestock supply companies that cater to sheep and goat raisers carry them.
