Congrats! To check if there are any left, give the doe a 'bounce'. It is where you wrap your hands around her lower belly (where the uterus is) and bounce her belly up gently. You can feel kids in there, they're all hard and knobby. Organs are just soft and squishy. So if you don't feel anything hard in there, then she's empty! Just wait for the placenta to pass. And NEVER pull on a placenta to make it go faster. That can...invert and/or tear the uterus. Just be patient.

I'm so excited....goat's having babies and chicks hatching!!!!! I want to be there, esp. for the goat birthing!!!! I've never been around goats but I know I would love em (I keep dreamin' of gettin' me some....I will, I will, I will...) and I've hatched chic's, it is soooo much fun!! I would love to see pics, too....please do post lots! This is my favorite thread!! I'm soooo excited, you'd think I was the owner! Did I miss the final comments on the goat birthing? Last I saw, she had birthed 2...? Anymore, yet? I just don't want to miss anything!!!
