Baby goose sitting on duck eggs

Thought this would be an interesting one to share.

My young goose (approx 4 - 6 weeks old) nestled down on my khaki campbell duck nest today. Two of the ducks have been sitting on the eggs and while they were out for a feed, the goose came in and sat on them!

Has anyone seen a young goose do this before??

How sure are you about the age of your goose? She looks awfully mature for only 4-6 weeks old.

I agree, she look a lot older than 4-6 weeks.

Maybe she meant 4-6 months.

Apologies, I checked hatch date and she is 2 months old here. That's a postive.

They just have such a precious instinct. Even at a young age. My goose who is going on 6 yrs now loves to go in and nestle on duck eggs too.
