Thank you. That makes me feel better about the girls' living conditions!
I have a rainbow assortment of birds, and their acomodations are great (I think). Solid construction and no air leaks to produce drafts. Fresh food and water. A big (10 X 60) covered run. I let them out every morning and shut them in at night for protection.
Now, how about summers? Last summer I saw them panting in the heat of the day. the only shade is inside the coop, and the 3 windows they have don't let in enough breezes, or let out much warm air. I'm going to have to rethink some outdoor shade.

I agree with the other posters, your birds should be fine, mine have done fine in temps down to zero in my semi open coop.


As you can see, my coop is very well ventilated ^

I keep my birds in net fencing during the summer, I make shore they have plenty shade. If shade is not available, then I let them free range for the day.
