The best description of dry heat is to heat up your oven to 500 degrees, open the door and stick you face near the opening. That's what it like to walk out side in 120 weather. Everything is air conditioned here; homes, cars, stores, doghouses, barns (some have misters)

Seriously though, I have seen it get to 122 but on average it's in the low to mid 100 -teens. Still hot enough - you don't want to walk on pavement or cement in your bare feet. But like I said earlier, we got the thin blood thing goin on. That's why heart patients move to the Valley of the Sun. Less blood thinner medication for them!

Yes, I've always said, "I'm not afraid of going to hell, I'm from Phoenix!"

I made sure all the heaters were working and turned up yesterday, moved 800#'s of feed into five coops, fed and watered, collected eggs and thought it was cold today while guessing it was either 1 above or 2 below zero...just looked and its 10 below and the evening hasn't really started. Still in my pj's and fleece jacket, knitting. I don't want to go out there...but I'll have to give my son a ride to work by 11 pm and pick him up before I go to work tomorrow morning. I'm wimping out big time today!

My Son says that too with a little twist. He says: " I'm a Phoenix Firefighter, Hell aint got nothin on a fire in July!"
