Keets should be raised on turkey, game bird or pheasant starter crumbles with 28%-30% protein in it (they need more protein to develop at the proper rate than chicks do), and it should be medicated with Amprolium so they build up their immunity to coccidiosis, especially if you have other poultry on your land. Feed this to them free choice for 6 weeks, after that you can wean them over to a 20-24% turkey, game bird or pheasant grower feed for 6 more weeks... then they can go on to a layer feed with 16%-18% protein in it. They can survive on lower protein feeds, but this is what's recommended for proper growth/development.
