I got my babies on wed. Just didnt have time to post until now. Hope you all like them as much as I do.

They are sooo much fun but man they poo a lot! I used paper towels in the bottom of the brooder for the 1st few days. I would have to do a complet change 4 times a day. I just put sand in the bottom of the brooder today im going to try it see how it works. So far looks like it will work better.

I forgot they are America Blue geese from Holderreads.

They are adorable and you're right.....they do poop alot I seriously lost 10 pounds by constantly having to look after the little guys and cleaning their brooders so often the first few weeks. That was alot of bending, sweating ,huffing and puffing I guess. lol Mine are 3 months old now and sorry to say I've gained 5 pounds back since I put them outside

They are just so gorgeous...I love the ones with the little one resting its head- and the 2 alseep.... They are just the sweetest fuzzy babies...

I like goslings they are so friendly. I can see why so many people make them into pet geese. The sand will work good for them, just watch they aren't eating it. We will use pine shavings for a week or so and then switch to sand. What we use for a brooder for waterfowl is a kiddie sized swimming pool, the ones 3 or 4 feet across. Put 2 or 3 inches of sand in it, a saw horse to hold the heat lamp (which they don't need for very long). Works great.

I guess that explains for sure what my little dark one is. Mine where also hatched the same day from Holderread.

Darn you JROOSTER. I went to Holderreads to see what a Blue Goose looked like. I don’t have room for any more animals but darn you I rely would like a pair of Blues. Darn you, darn you, darn you. And I mean that is the best way.
