I need help. I have a 3 weeks old baby pigeon that its parents won't feed it anymore. I been feeding it for a week but I don't see any progress. It is very active and the poop looks normal. I feed it wet seeds. Any help please :-(

You might try hand feeding him a high protein pellet a meat builder like is used for Cornish Cross chickens sometimes called Meat Kings.

Run a search on U-Tube and see some of the methods fanciers use in hand feeding squabs compare and see which one suits your needs best.

Here is only one such link:

Not to be a bearer of bad news however I hand raised a squab with the same back ground.

It was a runt and was picked on and dominated by the rest of the flock and had a poor quality of life. It just lacked vigor in my case and died in about a year (every case is different).

Some times pigeons parents know what they are doing.

I hope you make the right decision.

Thanks for the reply, I did ton of youtubing and when I gave up I posted the above. The method that I am trying now is the Kaytee hand feeding formula and this is my second day trying it. Before I fed just seeds and water. I am feeding two baby runts and one baby Modena. The runts are doing well and I can see the improvement but the Modena is not and he is the one troubling me. He still active but I can feel him becoming less active by time. I am suspecting a slow crop issue with him since he is always stuffed. His poop is lightly dark green which support the idea more. one of the methods I found is to give him warm water and message the crop so I did that starting today but I don't see much improvement. Any advise before I lose him :(

I used layer pellets for feeding parents and put them were cool and shaded. When and if hand fed, i just mashed crumbled then pelleted the young foid by putting with luke warm water or dry in cut out corner of plastic bag cupped in my hand then showed it.
