baby poult thread lets see them babies

There's a pair of bourbon reds, think girls, a pair of sweetgrass, think they are toms, a bronze girl, who was suppose to be a blue red bronze, and a either royal or blue palm who I am unsure of the sex. They are ten weeks old, in the adult pen, and love chasing grasshoppers as well as the chicken.

The sweetgrass were the ones that totally stumped me, I've never seen them before - really pretty. My poults seem to chase everything that moves near them (they're 5-6 weeks). They would have a blast chasing grasshoppers but we don't have any - they've had to settle for dragonflies, flies, the cat and the dogs. I had no idea how mischevious poults could be. My first one was an only turkey with chickens and he's been very calm and quiet. When the 4 babies put their heads together, they can find trouble!

It does seem like the bigger the gang, the more trouble they make, like kids goading each other into things. I used to have two sweetgrass toms, my husband ate them because I had too many toms, I have always regretted it, now I have two more. Really enjoy my turkeys, the kids come running to talk to me when I call them, never have I gotten such interactions with my chickens, I do find turkeys to be so entertaining, I've had turkeys for many years and will never grow tired of them.

I missed all the "fun" of a roving gang of poults having unexpectedly ending up with two hens. But they have been such fun! I've always wanted Sweetgrass! I think they are gorgeous. Maybe someday. ....
