Baby quail wont open eyes

Ok, sounds like she’s set up fine, and your temp is good as well. What’s in the electrolytes? Is there riboflavin? I’ll try to find a video on giving quail chicks liquids manually, don’t have a whole lot of experience on that
Do you have a small, clean eye dropper or syringe? That might make it easier to dropper her than a Qtip

I have to go but good luck, try to keep her comfortable and hydrated, and if worse comes to worse remember you can’t keep em all. I lost a chick in my first batch too. :hugs PLEASE update me!

It is not unusual to lose one or two baby quail in the first 4 days. That seems to be the critical time period and often you haven't done anything wrong so don't feel bad. I know it's difficult and in our house it's usually the one the kids adore! The most important thing with them is to make sure they are all eating and drinking, and just because some are doesn't mean there isn't the odd one that hasn't worked it out.

But often I think they just don't develop properly in some way. :hugs

I am very sorry for your loss. :hugs

The same thing happened to my only california quail chick.

Sometimes these things just happen, but that doesn't make it any less sad.

At least in the short time you had her, she was able to bring you joy.
