Baby roost?

I think my chicks are asking for a place to roost. For the past day and a half, my babies have become obsessed with flying and looking for a perch. When I uncover the brooder, they immediately start running around, eyeing the edge. One of the older chicks can fly up and perch, and all the others are jealous, hahaha.

Anyway, my question is what do y'all do for perches/roosts in the brooder?

Same problem here. We did make a cardboard chicken condo and used a small branch from a tree. Punch a hole on either side of the box and fed it through.

They grew so quickly between week 2 and week 3 that they were stepping over it, so we removed it. Bought a grill and it's in a huge box so were making another brooder tomorrow. They want a roost so bad but they are now flying out of the box so it will have to wait.

I have used a scrap piece of 2 by 2, tree branches, and right now we have a small square pallet laying on a brick.

I'm guessing since you're ol gray mare, you have horses as well?

Haha, that's awesome! I currently only have one TB, my personal horse. Lesson horses are all QH or ponies or some cross therein--much cheaper to feed! But when my OTTB is ready to retire, I'll definitely be getting another one--there's no other breed for me!

Mine are a week old and they are trying desperately to sit on the feeder and I see them eyeing the edge of the brooder but it's 2 feet tall so they have a ways to go. We put a perch in ours that is about 5 inches high and they are still a little scared of it.
