Hi all,

This is my first time raising baby chicks. I have a handful of Silkie chicks who are now 4 weeks old today (I have had them since they were a couple days old) I noticed a couple weeks ago that 1 of my silkies had limited, little motion in one wing. Now that they are growing, it is obvious that the wing has little to no range of motion. The wing is growing properly, growing all feathers, and is not "limp" or dragging. My question is, what do I do??

Thank you for your input!!

Well, first of all, welcome to BYC! Be sure to check out the Learning Center, and forums covering questions you may have....
RE your silkie, do you have to do anything? If the chicken seems healthy and happy, does it matter to you that it can't fly? Silkies should probably not be allowed to free range, so is flying all that important?
If you get a chance, post a pic....Good luck with your silkies!

I'd like to see a pic of said wing too!

Left wing is no working properly.

Flying is not important to me, just concerned for its safety. They are currently inside right now, and I will be transitioning to outside backyard run(25'X40' ish-not enclosed) & coop with my other chickens when it comes time.
