baby silkie going downhill

I have two baby silkies about 24 hours old with their mama. This morning one of the babies was not under mama and was chilled. His head is wobbly and he seems lethargic. What should we do ?

You could try warming it up with a heat lamp. Chances are though if she booted the baby that she knows something we all don't. Mother nature is cruel that way sometimes. Also try dipping its beak in a bit of room temperature sugar water, it may just perk baby up. Don't force feed it though or you could do more damage than good.

Hi, I did as suggested and he or she is fine! This baby does have a bum foot. He seems towalk around ok, just kind of wobbly. Thanks for your help!
