I have a baby Silkie that follows my 2 Rhode Island Red chicks around, it only eats when they eat [if they let it].they are twice her size, it won't eat while they are asleep,it sleeps under them and only does what they do, why??? I'm afraid it wont get to eat enough!!! can someone help! and I don't want to separate it from the flock, just have to re-introduce it later to the flock.

The RIR chicks constitute her 'flock'. As long as enough feed is available the silky should do fine.

Thank you for your answer, this is my 1st & only Silkie, and she is so much smaller than the others.
I'm new to rising chickens, & use to caring for bigger birds. In my 1st set I have 3 Buffs, & 1 of them turned out to be a rooster so I have 2 adult hens & 1 adult rooster. then I bought 2 RIR babies & a Silkie. But will try to stop worrying about her. Thank you again.
