Baby Silkies

Silver Jeep, post what you are encountering in another thread. You're post got lost in the fun we were having with feather sexing. Also, put it in diseases, chicks should not smell. This does not sound right at all.

Be prepared, age, where they came from, what you're feeding them, where they're kept, what do their droppings look like, are they drinking a lot but eating very little. Give all of that info when you post it.

Hmm... large breasts? You mean large crops? If that's the case maybe they are impacted or have sour crop? That which is maybe making their poo smell really bad? Not sure what to say.

When you post, click on the show smilies and it appears there. else it is ": w e e e" without the spaces.

My 5 silkie babies have stinky poo. It looks normal. I think that it is because there are 5. The last thing I had in the brooder was a single chick. It was no problem to keep clean and it smelled very little. I just keep the brooder clean as much as possible (2 times a day) mostly because they are very messy eaters.
