My husband and I brought home some baby turkeys last week. One seems to have a lot less feathers around its rectum compared to the other turkeys and they seem to peck at it and it's rectum seems
Inflamed. It also is not interested really in food or water. Help! What can I do to help it get better?'

first separate it from the other babies, if whatever it has is contagious, you'll want to contain it.

is its feces abnormal? what kind of feed are you giving it?

great to have you joining the BYC flock

You might want to go over to the New Members Introduction and introduce yourself to the flock and say hello to everyone

BYC has a very useful Learning Center

Do you have a picture of the sick turkey .

must separate it from the others for sure as you always should when you have a problem .

A mild dish soap or horse main soap will work for washing around it's rectum and then I would feed it some hard boiled bees if it will eat it that is and if not you might want to force it in.

A set up like this is good for force feeding a chick or grown up and it needs to go all the way down so you do not deposit it in its air pipe or any other place .

You can get the hose in different sizes and lengths and I was able to acquire this at the feed store but the Tractor Store should have it .

Baby's need just a little .
