I picked up my 2 baby turkeys from the feed store on Thursday. Its been a bit of a rought start for my royal palm, but ive been giving Duramycin in the water for the last 3 days and seems to be a bit better. The other is either a bronze breasted or Narraganset, but not really sure. So I had them out on the floor today getting a bit of exercise and the little white one would go up to the brown one and put its wings down and puff up and scoot towards it lol. Now ive never had turkeys before, but my roosters do this to the hens all the time so I figured it was the same thing. Is this 4 day old tukey already showing Tom sings...lol could this be true or just a fluke? It is super cute to see him do it hahah!

Dominant hens will also behave in this manner while establishing a pecking order. Watch them over the next couple weeks, and see how they progress physically. You'll see any jakes you have getting larger, and you may be able to see subtle differences in head coloration, and spur buttons, as well as the bump of a beard.
Edited to add, it's much too early to tell anything right now, but you will definitely see differences over the next few weeks, and probably know for sure by week 4 or 5.
